EPFO Simplifies Provident Fund Transfers: Direct

EPFO has eliminated the need for rooting out the future fund transfer process through past and current employers, making it easier for employees changing jobs.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has eliminated the current requirement for employees to submit transfer claims online to past and current employers to simplify the process. It is not clear when this will come into effect, but an EPFO circular was issued on 15 January.Who will benefit?Account transfer between member dates linked to the same year, where the year was announced on or after 1st October, 2017 and was linked to Aadhaar.Account transfer between member dates linked to different years, where the year was announced on or after 1st October, 2017 and was linked to the same year.There is a transfer between the member dates linked to the same youth, where the youth was born before 1 October 2017, is linked to Aadhaar, and the name, birth title and gender are the same in the member dates.There is a place between the member dates associated with different dates, where at least one date was celebrated before 1st October, 2017, is associated with the same basis, and the name, date of birth and gender in the member dates are the same.What is a UAN ?A number of 12 digits handed over to each employee who has contributed in the Employees Provident Fund (EPFO) is known as Universal Account Number or UAN.
