Economic Survey 2025 LIVE: The Budget Session of Parliament on Friday began with President Draupadi Murmu addressing a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. After the President’s address, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present separate Economic Surveys in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

The Economic Survey is a pre-budget document that details the state of the economy in the previous financial year.

The Economic Survey is prepared under the supervision of the Chief Economic Adviser and includes information on the economy prepared by the Economic Division of the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance.

The Budget for 2025-26 will be presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1.

Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on Saturday for the eighth consecutive time. Earlier today, in his traditional address before the start of the Budget session,

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that for the first time in 10 years, there has been no attempt to create trouble from abroad before the Parliament session.

“I have been observing for the last 10 years that before every season people get ready to create mischief and here we know that there is no dearth of people who can do it,” PM Modi said.

The Budget session, which is the most important and longest session of the calendar year, will continue till April 4. Both the Houses will adjourn for recess on February 13 and will reconvene on March 10.
