New Delhi: After the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the international community stood with India.

The world’s major powers condemned this ugly face of terrorism in one voice and expressed solidarity with India. 26 innocent civilians lost their lives in this attack.

French President Emmanuel Macron, in a phone conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, described this attack as ‘completely unacceptable’ and ‘brutal murder’. He expressed solidarity with India and reiterated France’s commitment in the fight against terrorism.

Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni also spoke to PM Modi and condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the victim families. She said that Italy stands with India on every front against terrorism.

PM Modi also received calls from Israel and Jordan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu termed the attack as ‘barbaric and inhuman’ and assured India of full support. He stressed the need to further strengthen global cooperation against terrorism.

PM Modi said that India is fully committed to bringing the culprits to justice.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II also gave a strong message against terrorism. He made it clear that terrorism cannot be justified in any form.

PM Modi expressed his desire to fight this global crisis together with Jordan.

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba also called and supported India and called this attack a crime against humanity. Both the leaders said that terrorism is the biggest threat to democracy and global peace and it can have no place. India assured all these leaders that it will not back down at any level in the fight against terror. Prime Minister Modi also made it clear that cross-border sponsored terrorism will no longer be tolerated.
