Under this contract, TATA POWER SOLAR will supply 300 MWp ALMM certified solar modules to Maharashtra State Power Generation Company.

Tata Power’s subsidiary TATA POWER SOLAR has received an important contract.

The company has received an order worth Rs 455 crore from Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO).

Under this contract, TATA POWER SOLAR will supply 300 MWp ALMM certified solar modules to Maharashtra State Power Generation Company.

These solar modules will help in promoting renewable energy in India and achieving green energy goals.

This project will not only strengthen Tata Power’s presence in India’s solar energy sector but will also encourage the use of green energy in the state.

This initiative of Tata Power Solar is an important step towards promoting sustainable energy solutions in the country.Tata Power, through its subsidiary TPREL, has invested around ₹4,300 crore to set up this plant.

This is a significant step towards indigenisation in the solar value chain. It is also a milestone towards achieving self-sufficiency in solar cell and module manufacturing.

This plant produces ALMM-authenticated modules and DCR modules equipped with advanced TOPCon and Mono PERC technology, which are manufactured using cells manufactured in India.

The company informed that “This initiative is in line with the company’s commitment to support India’s vision of a net-zero carbon future, with local manufacturing capabilities, and strengthen its leadership role in the solar rooftop and utility-scale segments.”
